Landscaping
Flower and Vegetable Beds: Apply 1-3 inches of 'Brian's Best' to the soil. Incorporate it into the soil to a depth of 5-6 inches. For best results, mix with topsoil in a 1:1 ratio.
Tree and Shrub Planting: Mix two parts native soil to one part 'Brian's Best' Compost and apply mixture around root ball.
Installing Mulch Layers: Apply 1-3 inches of 'Brian's Best' to planting beds and around trees and shrubs, taking care not to choke/crowd the crown of the tree/shrub.
Lawn and Turf Care
New Lawn/Turf Installations: Apply 1-2 inches of 'Brian's Best' to the soil. Incorporate it into the soils to a depth of 5-6 inches. Apply seed as recommended by the manufacturer.
Top Dressing: Apply 1/4-1/2 inch of 'Brian's Best' over existing lawn or turf, rake material to incorporate it below the thatch layer. Seed as desired.
